The "Yamamoto and Elyas Redman Files"

As I and many of my friends repeatedly said the Ahbashism Campaign is instigated not only by the "Majlis" or the Ethiopian Authorities, but also others have their own share. One of the key collaborators and supporters of "Ahbashism" is the United States of America who asserts that "Wahhabism is expanding in Ethiopia at an alarming rate so it must be curbed before it creates a big threat to the American interests".
USA may deny that it has no participation in the Ahbashism campaign but everything is exposed through the Wikileaks cables. You can see three wikileaks cables written by Donald Yamamoto, the former American Ambassador to Ethiopia.

In those files, Yamamoto argues that "Wahhabism is an Arab Cultural Imperialism" flooding from Arabian gulf states to Ethiopia. He also speaks about the projects he designed to curb "Wahhabism". One of the projects is to rehabilitate ancient shrines where people can venerate their favorite saints. He was executing the project in collaboration with "Majlis".
Yamamoto was very generous to the "Majlis" and the then Vice President of the Majlis called Sheikh Eliyas Redman express his warm appreciation for the support they got from US embassy in Addis Ababa. On the other hand, Sheikh Elyas tells his commitment to eliminate the "Wahhabiyya" from Ethiopia. (You can see the letter written by Sheikh Eliyas on the photo I attached with this post. )
Sheikh Eliyas was not elected by Ethiopian Muslims yet he was plotting to eradicate Muslims whom he called "Wahhabiyya" by using his illegitimate power. He left his position before he completed his plan. The same illegitimate group held the Majlis power and continued the project.
Dear Readers!! This is one of the main reasons caused us to struggle for the right of Ethiopian Muslims to elect their religious leaders. Unelected "Mafia" group can't be our spiritual representative. We must elect our leaders by ourselves.
Stop Ahbashism Campaign in Ethiopia!!
